Freeware is not free software
While some of these utilities are free software released under the GNU General Public License, others are released as freeware. Freeware means you are free to use them for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, but you are not allowed to modify and redistribute them.
Some freeware scripts have been obfuscated to discourage you from making any fundamental changes (obfuscation generally involves removing comments and using meaningless variable names). If you identify some improvements or changes you'd like to see made, we prefer that you ask us to implement them. However if you have good reason for wanting to do this yourself, please contact us and we may offer to provide you with the original source code (no promises though!)
